FAQs
Exterior Cleaning
What’s the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
Soft washing uses low pressure with detergents to gently clean surfaces like weatherboards. Pressure washing uses high pressure, ideal for concrete and other hard surfaces.
Will your cleaning damage my paint or cladding?
No – we assess every surface before cleaning and use the appropriate method. Our soft wash system is safe for all exterior finishes.
Do you need access to my water supply?
Yes, we typically connect to an outdoor tap for water during cleaning jobs.
Can you remove black mould or lichen from my roof?
Yes, our roof treatment kills moss, mould, and lichen. It works gradually over time, with visible improvement typically in a few weeks.
I’m on tank water – do I need to disconnect my downpipes?
Yes, depending on the service. For treatments involving chemicals (like roof wash or moss/mould treatments), downpipes should be disconnected or diverted to avoid contamination of your tank supply.
Can you do a roof treatment if I’m on tank water?
Yes, we can. However, the downpipes must be disconnected before the job and remain disconnected until it’s safe to reconnect — usually after the first few decent rainfalls or as advised by our technician on site.
Gutter Cleaning
What’s included in your gutter cleaning service?
We clear debris from gutters and flush downpipes to ensure proper water flow. A basic condition report can be provided if needed.
How often should I get my gutters cleaned?
Once or twice a year is ideal, especially before winter or if you’re surrounded by trees.
Can blocked gutters cause damage?
Yes – they can lead to overflowing, roof leaks, rotting timber, and even foundation or landscaping damage.
Solar Panel Cleaning
Why should I clean my solar panels?
Dust, pollen, and droppings reduce performance. Regular cleaning helps maximise solar output and extend panel life.
How do you clean them?
We use purified water and soft brushes to gently clean panels without chemicals or abrasion.
How often should panels be cleaned?
Once or twice a year depending on your location – more often in dusty or tree-covered areas.
Exterior Glass Cleaning (Pure Water System)
What’s a pure water system?
It’s water that’s been filtered of all minerals and impurities, allowing streak-free cleaning without chemicals or residue.
Why is this better than traditional window cleaning?
It’s safer, leaves no streaks or soap marks, and keeps windows cleaner for longer.
Can you clean upper-storey windows?
Yes – we can safely clean up to three storeys from the ground without ladders.
Will pure water damage paint or window seals?
No – pure water is completely safe and non-corrosive.
